Being my first experience personally in the RISE initiative I was excited to participate as being a beginning teacher I know there is so much I need to learn especially from a more knowledgeable other! I found it so interesting to watch myself teach.. my initial reaction was VICTORIA SHUT UP! stop speaking! way too much teacher talk! But prior to this I had never thought I spoke much... clearly I was wrong! Unfortunately due to timetabling my partner and I did not get a chance to meet face to face to discuss our experience however the comments left on my rise document were thorough and helpfull. I cannot wait for next round to be able to do this again!
Self refection :
This process is still being introduced to my class and this is evident in the video as a large majority of the students knew and conducted their roles properly and others struggled. Note: This could of been their first time being that character.
More praise! I need to really express how proud of the students I am
Strong link to Religion- Students were able to recall facts and make connections e.g Jesse - 10 commandments is another example of laws that God gave us.

Students are able to access all comprehension strategies eg: visualising, questioning, clarifying etc.
Task to be student led - Now that the class has had ample experience and teacher led sessions I would like to gradually release my role allowing the students to take on all the roles themselves. Acting more as an observer rather than participating.
Read independently - Students will now read the whole paragraph alone then complete tasks in order to clarify they have read what they needed too.
