YES YOU READ IT CORRECT I WON A PRIZE!
The most unlucky person in the world who has never won anything before in her life has WON A PRIZE AT RANDOM! I did nothing to win this but I won this fantastic Maths box filled with amazing resources (MAB BLOCKS, NUMBER LINES, COUNTERS,CARDS etc)
I feel that I begin all of my journal entries with "this was a fantastic experience", I had to stop myself from starting this with the exact same opener because it truly was a fantastic day. Not only did we learn a lot during the sessions, it was a fantastic experience to get to know and communicate with my colleagues from not only St.Christopher's but from schools within our cluster.... which I now know is cluster 7. Information OVERLOAD - I mean this in the best way possible, I should correct myself by saying RESOURCE OVERLOAD, prior to this day I was not aware of all of the fantastic resources that we all have access too. I really enjoyed how the day was structured into different sessions which focused on different aspects: EAL/D teaching, Religious Education, Mathematics & Literacy.
Particularly during the mathematics session, this session asked for us to relocate into year groups from different grades and explore a particular question. My groups question was: "How are we accessing, promoting, effectively using SCS Numeracy Site" At first I looked at my colleagues trying to act as thought I knew what this site was... it was after the awkward two minutes of silence that I realised my colleagues were in the exact same situation as me... we had never accessed or even known about the site *which we all knew we should of*. After this revelation we were provided some time to explore and discuss the resources between each other, we were amazed by the wealth of information and resources on this site which I will most certainly access!

I am very thankful that I was able to attend this session!
