    Staff Spirituality Day

What a way to end Term 2 - an overnight stay and spirituality day at The Venue, Bellambi! It's hard to believe that we are halfway through the school year!

The overnight stay before the spirituality day was the perfect way to celebrate the conclusion of another term, and to connect as a staff. After dinner, each staff member gave a prayer toast to another (randomly chosen) staff member. The toasts were undoubtedly my favourite part of the evening - it was wonderful to hear all of the beautiful (and truthful!) things said about each staff member. Our staff at St Christopher's are truly incredible - it doesn't matter who you sit next to or who you ask for help, every single staff member is welcoming, accommodating and up for a chat!

Jamie did a remarkable job of organising our spirituality day. We begun the day by watching a speech delivered by Fr. Richard Leonard. You would think a 40 minute video would be tiresome, but Fr. Richard Leonard was such an engaging speaker. I identified with his speech immensely - his views on Catholicism are refreshing, and he defended the Catholic faith well without being defensive (if that makes sense!)

We were also given plenty of time throughout the day for personal reflection, and to discuss our views in small groups. The Venue, Bellambi provided us with such a calming environment - it was wonderful to be able to take a reflective walk by the beach, and to sit outside in the courtyard to discuss with other staff members. I particularly enjoyed the amount of choice we were provided regarding where we wanted to go to reflect, discuss and engage with the readings.

A huge thank you to Jamie for organising both the overnight stay and the spirituality day - our amazing staff are a testament to you!
