The reading groups worked a lot better this term. I felt that I was more focused with my questioning and as I feel like I know the kids now I am more able to really be very specific with my questioning based on what I know about the students as readers. Feedback was a focus last year so I feel confident that I can improve that gradually without making it a focus within RISE.
Next term I will be looking at maths - an area I feel that I have made a lot of personal gains with so far this year - quest, fluency, programming and with more changes to occur next term it seems apt to focus on my feedback and questioning within this KLA.
Working with Mel again has been great - we share the same challenges with wanting to implement changes and improve within the constraints of being part time. Looking forward to the challenges and changes that term 3 will bring.
