Year One Learning Intentions and Success Criteria Collaborative Planning Session
Year One had the opportunity to work with Tom Barrett to deepen our understanding of learning intentions and success criteria, as well as, collaboratively plan and effectively compose learning intentions and success criteria for our students.
First, we looked at our own understanding of learning intentions and success criteria and their core purpose and effect on student growth. It was evident that before we as educators could plan our student learning intentions, we ourselves have to reflect and look at where we stand with our knowledge of; our students, their needs and the syllabus outcomes.
Overall, the learning experience was reflective and collaborative. The session was uplifting and provided us as a Year One team with the time to work together and develop a deeper understanding of our students, where we want to take them and how we will get them there.
